What is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

Learn more about an IOP

Also known as an IOT (intensive outpatient treatment) program, an IOP is a structured treatment program that does not require participants to be admitted to a facility to attend. A typical IOP addresses mental health and substance use disorders through a combination of group-based and individual psychotherapy.

An IOP allows participants to work, go to school, and otherwise go about their daily lives while participating in multi-hour sessions that are typically scheduled in the morning or evening.

The Fulfilling Life’s Purpose approach to an IOP

At Fulfilling Life’s Purpose, we provide therapeutic, holistic, and evidence-based practices that help people improve stress management techniques, communication skills, self-care, and an understanding of the challenges each person faces. We provide support and teach the skills needed to more effectively manage life’s challenges.

Our group sessions focus on compassion, trust, and reflection. We recognize that people can achieve ideal mental health outcomes when their mind, body, and emotional well-being are comprehensively addressed.

We offer a flexible schedule of 3 hours per day, 3 days per week. Choose from 11 am to 2 pm or 5pm to 8 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Full meals and beverages are provided. We can accommodate any food allergies and dietary restrictions.
